Consideration of multiple closed‑session legal matters including anticipated WCAB litigation matters ADJ15513397, ADJ17521808, and BER2400105; negotiations on lease price and terms for 200 Marina Boulevard with 200 Marina Blvd LLC (DoubleTree); direction on existing lawsuits including Berkeley Homeless Union et al. v. City of Berkeley and Prado et al. v. City of Berkeley; response to DHCS audit and appeals concerning GEMT cost reports; deliberation whether to participate in the proposed nationwide opioid distributor settlement; and public reporting of any actions taken pursuant to Government Code section 54957.1, seeking council authorization for settlements, litigation strategy, confidentiality determinations, and direction to negotiators.
